Privacy Policy
Inven is an inventory and trade tracker for trading card collectors and vendors, made by Paper Tiger Trading Company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: your inventory and money figures are private, we don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.
What we collect
Account: your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account's email and basic profile (name and picture), and nothing else from your Google account.
Profile: your ID (@handle), display name, optional profile picture, currency preference and privacy settings.
Your records: the cards, trades, sales, purchases, cash entries, card shows, notes and photos you add. These are yours; we store them so the app can work.
Scan photos: when you scan, the photo is processed to identify the card. Photos are only kept after the scan if you turn on "Help improve scanning" (off by default).
Diagnostics: basic technical logs (errors, timings, app version) used to find and fix problems.
How we use it
To run the app: identify cards, look up prices, calculate values and profit, and sync your data across devices.
If you opt in, to train and test the card scanner so it gets better at recognizing cards. Training photos are never shown to other users or shared outside the service providers below.
To keep the service secure and working, and to answer you when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes data for us
We use service providers who handle data only to provide their service to us: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Google (sign-in and email delivery), Anthropic (AI used to read and identify cards from scan photos), Expo (app delivery and updates).
To fetch prices and card details we send card information such as card name, set, number, grade and certification number to pricing and catalog providers (including PokemonPriceTracker, CardHedger, sold-comps and TCGdex). This is information about cards, not about you.
Public profiles
Everything is private by default. If you turn on Public inventory or Public trades in Settings, other users can see your cards (and their values) or your trades (cards in and out) under your ID and display name.
What you paid, your cash, your profit and your notes are never made public.
Your choices and rights
Export: Settings → Your data lets you download your inventory, trades, cash and shows as spreadsheet (CSV) files at any time.
Delete: Settings → Delete account permanently deletes your account and everything in it, including photos. Copies in our backups are removed within 30 days.
Scan photos: turning off "Help improve scanning" stops new photos being kept. To have photos you already contributed removed, delete your account or email us.
Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete your information. Email us and we'll help.
Security and storage
Data is stored with our providers in the United States, encrypted in transit, and protected so that each account can only read its own records. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong sign-in and keep your phone locked.
Children
Inven is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes and contact
If we make important changes to this policy we'll tell you in the app before they take effect.
